A friend of mine told me about The Balanced Body System. She had been following it, and was so enthusiastic about it, her energy was very catchy! I wanted to start losing my baby weight and decided to hear more about the program. So many things in it made sense...I love how it is designed for your genetic type, because not everyone is the same so why should we all have the same diet plan? I did weight watchers before, and was thinking about joining again, but I didn't want to bother with counting points anymore. I decided to give the Balanced Body System a whirl!
I have had a very positive experience with the program. I have lost 14lbs, and 11 inches in 3 months! I have good days and bad days, but it is very easy to stick to. I have so much more energy than I did before. I am a new mom, and before I started the program – my son was 6 months old at the time – when he would wake up at 6:00am to start the day, I would drag my butt out of bed and be grumbling about how tired I was. After just 2 weeks of being on the Balanced Body System, I had much more energy. I greeted him with a smile instead of tired and groggy eyes. Of course there are times when I'm still tired...but that comes with the territory!
I find the diet plan easy to stick to. I am much more aware about high versus low glycemic foods. I no longer "stuff" myself when we eat out at a restaurant or when we have a family gathering. I'm much more aware of the effects high glycemic foods have on my body so I don't want to eat them anymore.
What helps me most is writing things down...what a world of difference! The weekly support group conference call is so incredibly helpful. It's so nice to be able to talk to a group that is going through the same thing as me. It's great to hear about other peoples' success! And if I or someone else has had a challenging week, the group is so great at suggesting ways to help stick to the plan. I learn something new every week - I look forward to the calls!
What a difference the Balanced Body System has made! I have more energy, I've lost weight, and I’ve got more muscle. I never ever thought that I'd be training to run in a 1/2 marathon in the middle of February...but I am!! People have been complimenting me about how great I look, and that's such a great motivator. I feel great! |
